Welcome to the Gallery of New Zealand Bonsai.
Almost all bonsai in New Zealand are grown and developed here. This is because there are strict rules governing importing live plants, and the manner in which they are quarantined on arrival limits the survival rate to very low numbers.Combined with our climate and culture, this creates a unique blend of styles and presentations.
There is no national collection, and few public collections.

Below are Bonsai in three sections: Bonsai displayed to the public at the national conferences; Native Trees as Bonsai, and Exotic trees as Bonsai.
